Sometime between April 4th, 2016 and April 8th, 2016, someone stole a blue Yamaha 60 horse outboard motor from a boat that was stored at a cannery in Kenai.

March 29, 2016

On March 29th, 2016, the Kenai Police received a report that someone had entered the maintenance room of the Aurora Vista apartments and had stolen  almost $1000.00 in hand/power tools.

Homer Robbery "Fat Olives"
December 28, 2015

Homer Police seek information on a suspect who robbed the Fat Olive’s Espresso. On December 28th at around 10:05, a white man entered the espresso shop next to Fat Olive’s Restaurant on Ohlson Lane, brandished a handgun and forced the sole employee, a woman, into the bathroom. The man then stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Stolen Vehicles Nikiski
June 22, 2015

STATUS: SOLVED

The investigation shows that on the morning of Monday, June 22nd, 2015, three vehicles were stolen from a property on Moose Run in Nikiski.  The vehicles consisted of a yellow 24` box truck, a green 1990 Ford f150 flatbed truck (prior slope vehicle), and a 1995Volvo Sedan. 

The box truck has since been recovered, but the other two vehicles are still missing. 

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of these vehicles or regarding the subjects involved with taking the vehicles is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.  You may be eligible for a reward.

WILDLIFE CRIME

If you have any information about this crime or any person(s) involved, you are urged to call Federal Wildlife Officer Kelly Modla at (907) 252-9447 or kelly_modla@fws.gov, Izembek National Wildlife Refuge at (907) 542-2445 or the Alaska Wildlife Troopers at (907) 246-3307.    King Cove Corporation and Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges will pay cash reward of up to $1500.00 for information leading to a conviction.  An additional reward may be available through Alaska Wildlife Safeguard.  All tips will remain anonymous. 

 

Sometime between 10/21/2014 and 10/24/2014, a sow brown bear was shot at the end of the King Cove Road approximately 150 yards west of the Hovercraft landing on Izembek National Wildlife Refuge.   The lactating sow was accompanied by three cubs of the year.

September 29, 2014

On September 29th, Homer Police received a report that a building had been broken into and items stolen. Sometime between summer 2013 and September 29th 2014, persons unknown entered a building stored on North Star Terminal property on the Homer Spit and made off with appliances and furniture valued at $4,600.00. Sometime between 09/13/2014 and 09/15/2014 several area businesses were broken into and large amounts of commercial tools, tires, stereo equipment, vehicle parts and  equipment, a snowmachine trailer, welding and cutting equipment, and other miscellaneous items were stolen.

"My Brothers White Ford F250 Pick up was STOLEN!! from Captain Cook parking lot! If you see it, please call us ASAP!!! It could be anywhere on the peninsula, or in ANC, or north in the valley by now. Notice it has white tool boxes on the tops of the bed sides, and a cargo carrier on the top of the cab. License EGS 185 with a LOCAL 3 union sticker on the back window."
