The Soldotna Police Department is seeking public assistance with identifying the suspect in a case of vandalism at a Soldotna business that occurred early morning hours of 08/08/2022. An unknown individual spray painted "TRAITORS" on the front windows of Ammo Can Coffee and super glued the front door locks.

On the morning of 10/01/20, someone went to the site and stole multiple sheets of R-Tech foam board insulation and two large rolls of visqueen. The total value of stolen material was over $1700. Orca theater vehicle break-in
August 22, 2020
On 08/22/2020 a vehicle was broken into while parked at the Orca Theater on K-Beach Rd. The passenger side window of the vehicle was forcibly broken and a firearm was among items stolen. A witness observed a suspect vehicle and suspects, described as a mid 1990's Ford Explorer, green in color with a blonde female passenger and a male driver with brown hair. There was also a chocolate colored Pekingese dog that was on the passenger's lap.

Southbeach Vandalism

Kenai Police are investigating vandalism that was done to the cement barriers at the entrance of Southbeach off Royal Drive in Kenai. Unknown suspects spray-painted graffiti on eleven of the barriers. Security footage shows a small light colored hatchback type car that the suspects arrived in on 04/20/2020 in the evening hours. There appeared to be three subjects that participated in the vandalism.

Welder Theft

Kenai Police are investigating the theft of three welders from a construction business located at approximately mile 14 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Three welders were stolen and were all Lincoln brand. Two of them were model LN25 and one was a model V350Pro. KPD is asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect or locating the stolen welders. They are similar in appearance to the ones pictured.

Zenith Drive Burglary

AST Case Number: AK20002444
On 1/11/2020 at approximately 1113 hours, Soldotna AST received notification of a burglary that occurred on Zenith Drive. Investigation revealed several structures were burglarized and many items were stolen. Of the stolen items a black 2000 Argo ATV, a green Polaris MV7 four-wheeler, and approximately 30 firearms were reported stolen. The investigation is ongoing and AST is requesting that anyone with information contact Soldotna AST at 907-262-4453.

The Kenai Police Department would like to alert the public to a phone scam…
On 05/29/2019 a Kenai resident reported receiving a call soliciting monetary donations for the Anchorage Police Department.
The male caller claimed it was to support local officers and requested a donation in the amount of $100, $50 or $30.
The resident thought the call was suspicious as it sounded like an automated voice with the same answers/responses and did not donate.
The resident later checked with Anchorage PD. This is an ongoing scam that Anchorage PD is aware of.
Thompson Park Bike Thief
May 21, 2019
This bicycle was abandoned by a suspicious individual in the Thompson Park Subdivision in Kenai after the subject noticed that he was being watched by a utility worker. The subject left the bicycle and got into a red Jeep whose occupants have a recent theft history with KPD. The bicycle is suspected of having just been stolen in or near the Thompson Park Subdivision.
The Kenai Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in finding the owner of the bicycle so the suspect can be charged with theft. The Alaska State Troopers are looking for assistance in identifying suspect/suspects in a criminal mischief case at the Wasabi Bistro just outside of Homer. The Wasabi Bistro was vandalized sometime between Wednesday March 20th at 11:30 pm and Thursday morning at 7 am. Graffiti was spray-painted on the outside of the business that included racial slurs.
Authorities are looking for any information that may assist in this investigation to include persons or vehicles that may have been seen at the Wasabi Bistro that night.

Polly's charges include Theft 1, Scheme to Defraud, Falsify Business Records, Theft 2, and Forgery.
Polly is not believed to be in Alaska. She has ties to the Springfield, MO area and several locations in Oregon. She is believed to be in the Happy Valley, OR area.

Assault in Kenai

STATUS: SOLVED
The Kenai Police Department is investigating an assault that occurred on 10/12/2018. The victim had caught a thief breaking into his van and was in the process of attempting to stop him. While doing this the suspect's female associate came up behind him and struck him in the head, possibly with an object like a flashlight.
The victim sustained injuries from the assault and is willing to add an additional reward of $2,500 to what Crime Stoppers may pay. The suspects are described a male approximately 5'11'' weighing around 180 pounds with sandy blonde hair and a square jawline. The female was also 5'10'' with a thin build and blonde hair with highlights. The male may have received an injury to his right eye from the incident.

The New Life Assembly of God on Rogers Road and the Kenai Grace Brethren on McCollum Drive were both recently burglarized and items were stolen.
